I know this is all weird, but I just had to throw this thought out there. I never realized how sensual this one panel is by just flipping it over. Just look at how Guts guided Casca to the ground, using his same hand to caress her cheek so softly. She responds by covering his hand with her’s and touches his shoulder with her other hand, as if encouraging him to go on.
A little thing that bugged me about their love scene was how it felt like it was shot out of sequence… But by just looking at their motions and how the intensity slowly rises to the climax (…ha ha…) it all seems to make sense overall.  Before they begin, Guts notices how Casca is both emotionally and physically nervous about making love, and from this panel, he indeed tries to be gentle with her. She senses this and tells him that it’s okay, that she’s not afraid. As they go on, his touches get a little more direct, more daring, and more forceful. It’s at this point that Casca even pleas for Guts to go back to being gentle, but by this time, he’s too caught up with the vigor. The real climax  (…) comes when it’s revealed how insecure Guts himself was in this transition, as he has to come to terms with his childhood rape, something that marred his intimate performance. It’s only with a gentle touch from Casca that everything begins to cool down, as if their scene is receding through the falling action and then the conclusion.
… And then they have the literal climax. Haha very funny.
It’s just amazing how many perspective flips you can get from this manga, I tell you what.
Literally.

So here is all we know about Hisoka’s past:

  • His favorite chewing gum when he was young was named Bungee Gum which is why he based his powers on gum

And it’s becoming quite frustrating for me I want a damn backstory

And his family was poor, and he coudn’t buy bungee gum every day, then he used to chew the old gum even without taste xD (who remember HxH 1999?)

That was only in the 1999 version tho. It wasn’t mentioned in the manga or the new version.

But I’ve absorbed it like it’s canon and no one will ever tell me otherwise.

No sir.

It’s really true. But it can be a little joke of the autor - who said this during the episode 36 (I don’t remember well) as his dog’s face) or it could be really part of his past that the autor would explore in a future - I believe not.

But I loved when he said it at the episode 36 xD
